Oscar Wilde was amazing - Don't you just wish you had some sort of a personal connection to someone so funny and witty...

The thing about Wilde is that his wit, humour and insights have stood the test of time. His zingers cut deep into the universal landscape of human nature, politics, ego, family, love so we can all relate
... And we know that his insights were borne of a deep alienation from a society that couldn't accept the truth of who he was. Very sad.

The best way to make a personal connection with someone like him is to read him. The plays are well known and Dorian Gray is a great novel. I think his letters are published too. In fact, The Importance is showing this week at a small Theatre on Gottingen St. in Halfax...

I like Oscar Wilde's plays too. The Importance of Being Earnest is my favourite.
